Tulie Peak Portrait

"Tulie Peak Portrait" 14 x 18 oil on linen

This is a family portrait of myself and my three sisters.  This is a 'fantasy' painting as we were all present at this trail ride, but, never all together for one photo like this!  I re-created a scene from a memory of cherished family outing.

WIP - 16x20 Centaur Braiding - Part 8

This is actually two sessions of painting on this, but, I decided the first sessions didn't show enough difference from the Part 7 session, so, I'm combining them instead.  A lot of detailing going on now, especially on that back wall.  I generally work from background to forground and left to right...when I'm not jumping around that is!  Here is a pic from where I left off on the first of these two sessions, just the full painting image.

The rest of the pics are where this stands now.

New Work - "Sweet Dreams"

Dreaming sweet dreams with her favorite dollies; fluffy and baby-soft, this baby centaur fell asleep right where she played in the home garden.   This new centaur painting  oil on 6x8" hardboard panel.

WIP - 16x20 Centaur 'Braiding' Painting

I will be starting this new centaur oil painting soon. This one is inspired from this sketch from my centaur sketchbook and will be done in oils at 16x20.

I'm still working out the drawing and plan to explore a horizontal format so I can space out the figures a bit more. This vertical format sketch on tracing paper is my first idea, but, it is just a start. More to come later as I plan to photograph and comment on the progress of this work in progress.

New Work - Beach Girls

I finally finished a new painting! I really am trying to get back into the swing of painting, but, you know how it is...the more time away from it, the harder it is to get back to it! I miss painting, and, I have lots of ideas for new work...just can't seem to get going on them! Well, this is another centaur piece. This time, my girls are on vacation, too! Hope you all like them!

New Work - Fantasy & Equine ACEOs

I just finished up these two art cards and listed them on ebay. The first is a pretty sorrel foal investigating an old fallen tree. "Sorrel Foal"

This second is a cute little centaur girl playing games with her favorite doll. "Playing Make-Believe".

These art cards are miniature artworks in trading card format of 2.5"x3.5", and, these two are done in oils on 3/16" thick gessoed birch wood panels.
