New Work - "Marwari Pinto"

"Marwari Pinto" 2.5x3.5" oil ACEO

This one is not totally new, but, with a few little dabs of paint I have given it a make-over and it is now better, and, newer than it was before!  This is a Mawari horse, a breed from India that were the brave and trusted mounts of the royal families.  They are also known for the unique feature of having ears that curl backwards at the tips giving the horse a very unusual (to westerners!) look!

New Work - Mustangs - On the Run

A herd of wild mustangs gallop for sanctuary over the side of a steep hill. With the future of America's wild horses in question, I find myself dispairing of thier fate, and, I am impelled to paint them (always a favorite subject of my art) once again, perhaps in an attempt to capture the freedom, beauty, and, dignity that our wild horses have always represented...at least to me!   New 12x16 oil painting on hardboard panel.  Just click on the title to see the Etsy listing!

Sketchbook - Painthorse & Arab

These two are new in the book.  Those thunder-legs just kept growing and growing...sometimes these sketches are a real battle, and, I don't always win...note the erasure marks, ha!

New Work - Heading Home

I started this one last weekend and spent all day today finishing all the final detailing.  This is 6" x 8" oil on birch panel.
