New Work - Fly Like a Bird

ORIGINAL 2.5" x 3.5" ACEO OIL PAINTING

Galloping fast and leaping as high as he can, an energetic young centaur plays in a game of make-believe...to fly and soar above all, like a bird!

  1. Hi Kerry! As Kidd's do...They fantasize in being another Animal who can do things they can't. In their world as in ours, 2 animals in one body aren't enough! LOL! I salute you in another real world situation for a Fantasy/world character! Our worlds aren't so different! Keep them coming & I will keep running along with you! Thankfully, Don Kephart

  2. Oh, I agree! Only I think that centaurs would never think of themselves at being two differant animals in one! I just know that they would see horses and humans as odd, unfinished, and creepy! LOL! I have a couple 9x12s in the works...and still thinking about something larger, more complex, interesting, cool (I hope)and unusual...how do you feel about 'shopping' and 'festivals'?

  3. Hi Kerry! I think SHOPPING & FESTIVALS are great in the Centaur Fantasy world! I have some Shopping & Festival Centaur pieces by other fine artists. I would deem it a favor if you would do them in oil! You can also show me the sketches if you would like. I am sure I would LOVE them! Your imagination is like mine. Think of a situation in the Centaur World & more than likely it will turn out Very fine! I trust you to create many scenes in which Centaurs Thrive in any scenario! I await seeing what you have thought up! Sincerely, Don Kephart

  4. Glad the idea appeals to you, Don! I'm thinking this one could be a blending of centaurs in human society...could be fun! I haven't worked out any sketches yet, still thinking about it. I am working on a 9x12 of an older couple relaxing at home, just so you know, I'm am still working, even though I'm not listing much on ebay these days. Talk to you again later!
