Hi, y'all! I've been playing hooky from everything art! Over the July 4 weekend, I took an impromptu road trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico and spent a few days visiting my sister and her family. I took tons of photos of the gorgeous scenery...mostly from the moving car. I wanted as many landscape and animal pics as I could get to add to my photo files that I paint from. I took over 300 pics and once I was home again, I uploaded all to my computer. !!!
Well, the computer had been acting up lately, and, adding 300+ hi-res images crashed it before I could save them to disks! I couldn't get it IT working again, so, I was without internet access until just this week...talk about withdrawal! Did I spend all this time painting and building up a stock of new work to list once I could get online again, taking advantage of all this uninterupted time to be very creative and productive? Nope. I did do some sketching in my "Centaurs n Dragons" sketchbook, a book I started in 2006 and have been very lax about filling, otherwise, I lazed around the house reading books and watching the telly! Now the computer is fixed and working fine, but, all those photos I took on the trip may be lost. I'm not sure yet, and, I sure hope they can still be salvaged. I'm still not in the mood to get back to painting, although that is no excuse...I really will get back to it soon, though, I promise - new pics or not!
